KeyBank Produce Arcade Construction Updates

One of the first aspects of the West Side Market Transformation Project to come online will be the KeyBank Produce Arcade, offering an improved produce shopping experience to customers and merchants alike.

When complete, the space will have heating and air-conditioning improving both comfort for merchants and customers as well as product quality.  The new layout will offer customers more direct access to products at each business. In addition, new elevator access to the Market’s basement will provide more efficient access to food storage areas, greatly improving the operations of our produce merchants.

Since breaking ground in May of 2025, the transformation of the old East Arcade has seen several exciting milestones. One is the installation of a new heated floor, which will allow for a much more comfortable shopping and vending experience during the long season of cold weather in Cleveland.

Thanks to generous support from KeyBank, the arcade will also be home to programming providing nutrition education and improved access to fresh fruit and vegetables to Northeast Ohioans of all backgrounds. The Market is a vital source of fresh food access in Cleveland, and more than 25% of Market customers qualify for SNAP/EBT benefits. This makes the success of the arcade and its merchants vital to the overall well-being of our community.
